This hybrid form was obtained by crossing various Echinodorus species, including Echinodorus horemanii and several Echinodorus species with round leaves. The small size of the plant (usually no more than 15 cm in width and height) and the low growth rate also enable cultivation in nano aquariums. In small aquariums, Echinodorus "Aquartika" is usually planted individually in the middle ground. Echinodorus Aquartica In large and medium-sized aquariums, this plant is usually planted in small groups (5-6 plants). Planted in the foreground. Where it forms a dense carpet after a few weeks under favorable conditions. Echinodorus Aquartica does not place high demands on the keeping conditions and retains the fresh green color of the leaves even with low nutrient contents and relatively little light. Additionally, compared to other Echinodorus species, this plant retains its leaves when transplanted. Contents Temperate and tropical aquariums with a water temperature of 20-28°C are equally suitable for keeping. The active reaction of the aquarium water can be different, from slightly acidic to slightly alkaline. Water hardness no more than dGH 15°. Echinodorus Aquartica In general, this species is not very picky about light, it is quite enough for a medium level of illumination (about 0.5 W / liter). Too bright light can cause reddish spots on the leaves. It is better to use a fine-grained nutrient substrate as soil. It reproduces quite quickly, forming daughter plants on the rhizome. When caring for the aquarium, the large leaves of Echinodorus can be trimmed with scissors to a height of two centimeters, this further promotes the formation of new leaves. Before planting Echinodorus Aquartica in the aquarium, the outer large leaves are removed and the roots are slightly trimmed and straightened.[1]
