Echinodorus Dark Beauty is a small, compact, round-leaved cultivar from Hans Barth.
It has a very dark red leaf color and is slow-growing. Water temperature from 22 °C -28 °C.

First released in 2008. Echinodorus 'Dark Beauty' is not large, grows up to 20 cm tall, young leaves are light burgundy red, becoming darker with age. In cultivation, Echinodorus 'Dark Beauty' is easy, not fussy about water composition, grows in both soft and hard water. However, it needs strong lighting to maintain the bright color of the leaves. On sale since 2010. dwarf Chinodorus, an adult shrub no more than 25 cm tall, usually up to 20 cm, all leaves are red. The color is somewhat more colorful than that of Regina Hildebrandt.[1]
