Echinodorus the Defiant Suppressor is a powerful, fast-growing plant. Leaves are ribbon-lanceolate, very flexible, up to 60 cm long, petiole up to 20 cm, the color of the leaves is from honey to brown-green, translucent, they have characteristic dark fragments. Old leaves decay very slowly, so the plant is very multi-leaved. It reproduces quite easily by flowering shoots, there can be 3 - 4 per year. Young plants look very decorative, remaining 20 centimetres long probably increases the potential for a jerk.
