Echinodorus Europa is a fairly compact plant, because the leaves are arranged almost vertically, grow up to 40 cm high, the youngest leaf is ruby red. Older leaves are reddish-brown with rare dark spots on the entire leaf blade. The leaves are broadly lanceolate, the tips are blunt, the back of the leaf is green with strongly prominent veins.


    Echinodorus Europe has elliptical leaves 20 cm long and 5-10 cm wide, the veins of the young leaves are reddish and turn green with time. The color of the young leaves is orange or brownish-red, with time the leaves turn dark green.[1]
