Echinodorus Explanatory has dense, very flexible leaves with an almost glassy sheen, up to 40 cm long, up to 4 cm wide, the leaf stalk up to 10 cm. Fast-growing, holds a mass of leaves in the rosette, sprouts easily. The color of the 2 to 3 youngest leaves is brown, the veins are mustard-colored; with age, the leaves become almost black and the veins green
