The color of the leaves changes during development from dark red to brown to green. The leaf veins always remain light green. The leaf edge is wavy. The median veins are clearly visible from the back of the leaf and are strikingly convex. The growing conditions are undemanding. Echinodorus Indian Summer grows very quickly and forms a dense rosette.[1]
