Externally, Echinodorus 'Obelix' is somewhat reminiscent of the old, well-known hybrid Echinodorus 'Cognat'. But the color of the leaves is much lighter, the young leaf is pale pink, the veins on the leaves are the decoration of Echinodorus 'Obelix' - they contrast pleasantly with the main background of the leaf. It grows quite quickly, depending on the conditions in which it is kept (especially with a "rich" diet) it can reach an impressive size.^[1]
