In nutritious soil and bright light, the young leaves take on a bright red color, which then turn brown and darker spots appear. In insufficient light, the color of young leaves is paler and old leaves turn brownish-green. Echinodorus 'Paul Klöcker' does not grow large, its maximum size is up to 30 cm.^[1]
