Echinodorus schlueteri Leopard
Origin / Breeder : Hans Barth, Dessau
Origin / Breeder : Hans Barth, Dessau
Cultivated form from : Echinodorus schlueteri Rataj
This is a plant mutated from Echinodorus Schlueteri, which was found and propagated after sowing in the juvenile state. This variety differs from a normal plant in the leaves, which are densely covered with brown spots, and the spots remain on the leaves and old plants, unlike the original form. The plant is fertile and the seedlings obtained by self-pollination corresponded 100% to the new type. This plant takes its name from the strong mottling of the leaf blade. This variety grows somewhat more slowly and also reproduces more slowly. Its culture is fully consistent with Schlüter's Echinodorus.[1][2]
